National Geographic Magazine‘s Exquisite Castaways is a beautiful gallery of images taken with a scanning electron microscope and re-coloured to reflect the actual eggs’ real life appearance. The photos were taken by Martin Oeggerli, a molecular biologist by day who photographs and documents the tiniest members of the natural world during his free time.
