I quite like(d) Droid Sans as a mobile device typeface and I am surprised Google have chosen to go with a new custom font for Android called Roboto for Ice Cream Sandwich. Lots of unhappiness all round but I think judgement should be reserved until the fonts are seen and used in context — the font was, after all, built to live in a handheld device.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the Ubuntu font and it looks fantastic on my Android. Admittedly, I wish Google went for a more angled and precise font (like Ubuntu or Neo Tech) instead of a geometric, Helvetica or Frutiger wannabe.
