Before you get carried away, you cannot export a single of code from this app (or any app from the iTunes store ecosystem) to anywhere else. You cannot publish or distribute your app from Codify to the app store. You write your game or build something and it just sits there in your iPad and you can look at it.
The Apple store operates with sometimes baffling rules for what apps can and cannot do. I am a little puzzled why anyone would spend so much time and money into a programming/compiling app that has its legs cut off from the get-go. Having said all that, Codify sounds like a great tool to learn programming — a little bit like LOGO for the younger generation.
As for my daughter, she’ll have to learn Emacs first before learning any sort of programming. As you can tell, I’m a very fun dad.
